The challenge was to design an interface that sparks self-expression, guides reflection, and feels like a gentle companion—not a clinical tool.
Jot Journey meets users where they are. Right from the start, users can choose how they’re feeling—happy, sad, anxious—and receive tailored prompts to guide their writing. A calm color palette and playful illustration style keep the experience light and inviting. For deeper reflection, smart suggestions offer supportive feedback directly in the journal entry, helping users go deeper with their thoughts.
Community features let users share public entries (if they choose), creating a sense of connection and resonance. The result is a journaling app that feels personal, helpful, and a little magical.
